Giving Back
At Manhard Consulting, we strive to create long-term relationships in the community.
That means being not just a good corporate citizen but also a good neighbor and friend to the business community, local residents, future engineers and others. We actively support our staff in donating their time and talents to this important mission.

FIGHTING FOOD INSECURITY
Northern Illinois Food Bank
Manhard Consulting associates from our Illinois offices and their family members volunteer at the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Staff members work together to pack approximately 5,500 pounds of bulk granola, instant breakfast packs and other food items in ready-to-go boxes. More than 1,800 boxes are prepared for our neighbors in the greater Chicago area that suffer from food insecurity.
Food Bank of the Rockies
Our team in Colorado, along with family and friends, spent an evening volunteering at Food Bank of the Rockies. They worked together to provide 510 boxes containing 12,325 meals to seniors in our community!

The Greenhouse Project
Located on the campus of Carson High School in Carson City, Nevada, The Greenhouse Project provides an educational base for students of all ages. Students learn the importance of sustainable living and how to grow their own foods and increase their knowledge of nutrition. All while enjoying the great outdoors! Ninety percent of the food grown at The Greenhouse is given to the underserved in the local community.
Under the direction of Mark Rotter, PE, staff from our offices in Carson City and Reno, supported this exciting project by providing site improvement plans, construction staking, utility agreements and as-builts to help get The Greenhouse Project up and running.
Since its beginnings, The Greenhouse has met or exceeded its goal of producing 400 pounds of produce each month and has far exceeded its original goal of having at least 200 students participating in the vocational/educational programs.
